As a Cape Cod Justice of the Peace, my goal is to help couples create a customized ceremony that reflects their relationship and focuses on their future commitment in marriage. I welcome same sex and ethnically diverse marriages and believe that there is no more beautiful expression of devotion than two people who love each other and wish to express their vows to honor the covenant of marriage.
I also own Write Weddings and offer personal vow and ceremony writing services. For weddings I officiate, a customized wedding ceremony is included. Some couples, however, choose to appoint a friend or family member to officiate and need my help to write a professional, yet personal, ceremony for that person to deliver. I also work with couples, whether I am officiating their ceremony or not, to write personal vows. I find that couples love the concept of reciting personal vows, but need assistance turning their feelings, memories, and hopes for the future into a well articulated vow structure. My passion is finding the words to represent couples and give their guests a ceremony to remember.
I was born and raised in New Jersey, but have lived in Chatham, MA on Cape Cod since 2003 and can’t imagine living anywhere else. My husband, James and I were high school sweethearts and have been “dating” since I was fourteen. We were married in 2001 at the Captain Linnell House in Orleans, MA and have owned two inns in Chatham. After sixteen years of being an innkeeper and coordinating countless weddings, I decided to focus my energy on officiating and writing weddings which also affords me the freedom to spend time with our five children who keep us very busy!
Visit my ceremonies pages to learn more about how I design nuptials to determine if I would be a good fit for your very important day.
